Peripheral Giant Cell Granuloma-A Reactive Lesion: Case Report
نویسندگان
چکیده
Gingival overgrowth commonly seen in clinics can be categorized as generalized or localized. Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is tumor like, non-neoplastic reactive intra-osseous lesion occurring the gingiva alveolar mucosa and characterized by an un-encapsulated proliferation of mononuclear polygonal cells which are spindle-shaped with osteoclast-type multinucleated a vascular background. This case report 28 year old female peripheral mandibular anterior region. The was completely excised to periosteum level no recurrence 1 month follow up.

Peripheral giant cell granuloma--a case report.
Peripheral giant cell granuloma is a lesion arising mainly from the connective tissue of gingiva or periosteum of alveolar ridge. A case of peripheral giant cell granuloma involving a deciduous molar and the succedaneous tooth is reported. The lesion was large and interfered with occlusion. Surgical excision of the lesion along with the deciduous first molar was done. The underlying permanent f...

Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a non-neoplastic lesion representing a local hyperplastic reaction. It is a tumorlike pathologic condition arising on the buccal or lingual attached gingival or alveolar mucosa and the crest of the edentulous alveolar ridge, of uncertain etiology; it is probably a reactive lesion caused by chronic local irritants or trauma rather than a true neoplasm. P...
متن کاملPeripheral Giant Cell Granuloma - a Case Report
The peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a benign inflammatory hyperplastic type of lesion of unknown etiology occurring in gingiva or alveolar ridge. It normally presents as a soft tissue purplish-red nodule consisting of multinucleated giant cells in a background of mononuclear stromal cells and extravasated red blood cells. A 75 years old male patient reported with a chief complaint of ...
متن کاملReport of a Case of Peripheral Giant Cell Granuloma in Anterior Maxillary Region
Background: Gingival overgrowth is a common clinical finding that most often represents reactive hyperplasia as a result of inflammatory gingival disease related to dental plaque. Irritation fibroma (IF), pyogenic granuloma (PG), peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF), and peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) are non-neoplastic enlargements of the gingiva that are categorized as reactive hyperpla...

Central giant cell granuloma is a benign, aggressive neoplasm composed of multinucleated giant cells that almost exclusively occurs in the jaws though extra-gnathic incidence is rare.Multifocal CGCGs of the jaws are very rare and suggestive of systemic diseases such as hyperparathyroidism,an inherited syndrome such as Noonan-like multiple giant cell lesion syndrome or other disorders.Very few c...
